Fixed capital investments in Kazakhstan were estimated at 1,831.8 bl tenge as of August 1, 2008, which is a 10.9% year-on-year increase.
The growth of investments during the period under review was reported in all regions of the country, announced the National Statistics Agency.
According to statistics, the following oblasts beat the other regions in terms of volume of investments: Zhambyl (2.3 times), Kyzylorda (1.9 times) and Akmola (48.6%).
The most appealing Kazakhstan's industries for investors was production of oil and natural gas - 24.4% of total fixed capital investments.
Kazakhstan with more than 15.6 ml population has 16 political units: 14 oblasts and 2 cities of national jurisdiction.
