Assets of Kazakhstan-based subsidiary of Russia's Sberbank went up 2.3 times in 2009

Interfax-Kazakhstan - As at January 1, 2010 the assets of Kazakhstan-based subsidiary of Russia's Sberbank stood at 221.334 million tenge as compared to 97,535 million tenge as at 1 January 2009, indicated the bank's unaudited financial statements.
The liabilities grew to 184.671 billion tenge from 63.317 million tenge respectively, the equity capital to 36.663 million tenge from 34.218 million tenge.
In 2009 Subsidiary Bank JSC Sberbank of Russia earned 2.289 million tenge of net profit as compared to 2.320 million in 2008.
In 2009 Subsidiary Bank of Sberbank of Russia was ranked 128th by assets among the CIS banks and 13th among Kazakhstan-based banks according to the Interfax-1000: CIS Banks ranking prepared by the Interfax Center of Economic Analysis.
