Michael Sauer

Chairman

Michael has over 11 years of management experience in Emerging Markets, particularly in Russia/CIS and India. He has over 16 years experience across Corporate Finance, Trading, Settlement, and Venture Capital activities with the Swiss Banking Corporation in London, Brunswick UBS in Moscow, Minaret Group in Azerbaijan and Kring Technologies in India. Michael took the position of Managing Director at VISOR Capital where he coordinated Investment Banking activities which included M&A deals, issue, listing and placement of securities. He participated in the first dual listing and offering of KazMunaiGas EP’s shares and GDRs on KASE and LSE. Michael graduated with honors in Finance from the South Bank University in London.

Jose Luiz Gaviao

Managing Director - Head of Investment Banking

Jose Luiz Gaviao joined Visor Capital in April 2007. Before joining Visor he was involved in the restructuring of Fair CCVM, a Brazilian broker-dealer on behalf of its owner, a private Swiss investor. Prior to that, he worked nine years at ABN AMRO, where at the time of his departure he was Director for all Debt Capital Markets activities in Brazil. During his tenure he was responsible for domestic and cross-border origination and domestic syndication and distribution, having had postings in Amsterdam, New York and Sao Paulo. He holds an MBA from University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Stefano Resegotti

Managing Director - Head of Sales

Stefano joined Visor Capital in September 2009 from Cheuvreux where he led the European Equity Sales effort into the Italian client base. Prior to Cheuvreux he was Director at ING Bank, and was one of the top cash equity sales in Europe. Previously, he worked at Santander and Morgan Stanley in sales, sales trading and trading roles. He brings with him over 12 years of equity sales experience. He has degree in Economics and Business from the University of Pavia.

Jean-Christophe Lermusiaux

Managing Director - Head of Research

Jean-Christophe Lermusiaux joined Visor Capital in November 2008 from Exane BNP Paribas, where he was in charge of the IT Services & Software sector. With over 11 years of experience as a sell-side analyst in Paris and in London, he and his team achieved top international rankings (#1 Extel individually, #2 Extel as a team, #1 Starmine for the quality of recommendations). Over the last two years in Exane BNP Paribas, his team ranked #1 out of 32 in the bank’s trading ideas portfolio (Long/Short Equity, Absolute Performance). Under his leadership, the Visor Capital Research team’s coverage has expanded into seven new Emerging & Frontier markets (including Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan and Georgia) and into Fixed Income. This contributed to top Extel rankings for Visor Capital in the “Emerging EMEA / Frontier Markets (including Kazakhstan & Kyrgyzstan)” category. In 2009, Jean-Christophe Lermusiaux became a member of the Visor Capital Management Board, and for the past three years he has been a regular speaker at local and international events. Jean-Christophe holds a Masters Degree in Engineering from Ecole Centrale d’Electronique (1995) and an MBA from ESSEC (1998).

Andrew Knights

General Counsel

Andrew joined Visor Capital in 2012. Previously, he was General Counsel of Blenheim Capital Services, a specialist government and corporate advisory firm. Andrew began his career in London in private practice at Slaughter and May, and at Clifford Chance LLP, advising on big-ticket corporate, capital markets and financing transactions in all regions of the world. He was educated at Oxford University.

Michael Costello

Head of Trading

Michael Costello joined Visor Capital in March 2010, having previously worked as Head of Trading at Regent Securities in Egypt. Michael also has experience trading global emerging markets while at London based Holland Park Capital , where Strategies included directional bets , sector rotation, pair trading and event driven. Prior to this, he was with Merrill Lynch Prime Brokerage in London where he joined after graduating in Finance & Economics from Trinity College Dublin

Murat Temirkhanov, FCCA

Chief Financial Officer

Murat joined Visor Capital in November 2012. In the company he is responsible for financial activities, back office and operations, and administrative activities. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer of JSC “Alfa-Bank” (Kazakhstan). The main part of Murat’s career was in banking where, in different periods, he was responsible for the following bank functions: financial and managerial accounting, financial planning and control, operations, asset and liability management and treasury activities, corporate lending. Also Murat has experience of working as CFO in a large production company and as an auditor and financial consultant in the big 4 international audit companies. Murat’s first higher education and career was in a field of IT. However, in 1994 – 1995 years Murat graduated in Financial Management and Accounting in USA and, after this, he started his career in finance. Murat is a Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in United Kingdom (FCCA – UK).
