Michael Sauer

CEO

Michael is a co-founder of Visor Capital and has run the business for the last 18 months. He has over 12 years work and management experience in Emerging Markets, particularly in Russia/CIS and India. He gained extensive experience across Corporate Finance, Trading, Settlement, and Equity Research activities with the Swiss Banking Corporation in London and Brunswick UBS in Moscow. Before co-founding Visor Capital, Michael was involved in Venture Capital activities in emerging markets. Michael graduated with honors in Finance from the South Bank University in London.

Stefan Scholz

Managing Director - Head of Investment Banking

Stefan joined Visor Capital in February 2006 and is responsible for the Investment Banking business, including the Advisory, M&A, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and Structured Finance divisions. Stefan has 17 years experience in banking and gained extensive experience in the origination and execution of medium and large-scale investment banking transactions across different industries in the U.S., Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia at both JPMorgan Chase and Dresdner Kleinwort. Stefan studied Economics and Business Administration in Germany and the U.K. and holds a full-time MBA from the Henley Management College. He is an honorary speaker at major international conferences and member of the International Advisory Board to the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the regulation of activities of the Regional Financial Centre of Almaty (RFCA).

Michael Carter

Managing Director - Head of Research

Michael joined Visor Capital in January 2007 from ING Bank, where he was Head of Equity and Head of Research in Italy. His research experience has been in the oil, oil service, transportation and industrial sectors. He was part of a top-ranked Research teams at UBS from 1995-2001, both in London and Milan. Previously, he was a management consultant at Bain & Company in Italy where he managed strategic consulting projects in the oil, oil service, telecom and media sectors. Michael holds a BA with Honors from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Nigel Bullock

Managing Director - Head of London Office

Nigel joined Visor Capital in July 2007 and is responsible for our London office. He joins us with over 17 years of investment banking experience covering a range of investment products including sales trading Pan European, Nordic & Asian equities, Japanese equity warrants and Prime Brokerage and Stock Loan. He was previously an Executive Director with Goldman Sachs in London, Tokyo and Hong Kong, and with Dresdner Kleinwort and Bear Stearns in London.

Blair Pollock

Managing Director - Head of Sales

Blair joined Visor Capital in April 2008 from Citi where he was a Director of European equities. With 17 years of experience in investment banking, initially in Equity Capital Markets at Merrill Lynch he then moved to European Equity Sales at Citi, covering some of the largest institutional investors in the UK and overseas. Most recently he worked within Prime Brokerage, heading a group advising traditional institutional investors on launching alternative investment products. Blair has worked in London, New York and Johannesburg, holds an engineering degree from the University of Edinburgh and an MBA from INSEAD.
