Federation Council ratifies Pre-Caspian Gas Pipeline agreement

The Federation Council has ratified the Pre-Caspian Gas Pipeline agreement of Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
The trilateral project aims to transport Turkmen and Kazakh natural gas across Russia.
The agreement defines national entities, which will lay the pipeline. "The ratification of this agreement will ensure long-term cooperation in the transportation of Russia, Turkmen and Kazakh national gas and integration of the three gas industries," the Federation Council said.
