Kazakhstan to continue financing and implementing investment projects - president
Astana, March 6 2009
Kazakhstan will continue financing and implementing long-term investment projects, said Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
"First of all we will continue upgrading the refineries. In the future we should be able to fully satisfy the domestic demand for kerosene, oils and lubricants," he said in his address to the nation voiced in the Kazakh parliament on Friday.
"We will continue constructing a petrochemical complex in Atyrau, finish the construction of the Moinak GES, continue the expansion and reconstruction of Ekibastuz GRES-1 (a power generation plant - Interfax-Kazakhstan) and the construction of the third power unit at Ekibastuz GRES-2 as well as start constructing a Balkhas TETS (a combined heat power plant - Interfax-Kazakhstan).
We also plan to build a gas pipeline, Beineu-Bozoi-Akbulak, upgrade the motor road West Europe - Western China. These project will offer additional 25,000 working places in 2009-2010 and 50,000 later," the president stressed
